Charlotte Lewis


Biography
Charlotte Lewis is a classically trained violinist with a passion for performing, currently residing in Pasco County, Florida.
Charlotte holds a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance from the University of South Florida. She has performed with the USF Symphony Orchestra, the USF Honors Orchestra, the South Shore Symphony Orchestra, and the Dade City Symphony; she has attended music festivals such as Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival and CODA Mountain Academy and has participated in workshops with The Florida Orchestra and the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. She has been featured as a soloist with the Dade City Symphony, the Thursday Musicale, and the USF New Music festival.
Charlotte is an active performer of contemporary music and has premiered many new works for both chamber ensemble and solo violin in the Tampa Bay area; she enjoys working with living composers to help bring their work to life onstage and in the recording studio.

In addition to classical and contemporary music, Charlotte loves to connect with her Appalachian heritage through fiddle and folk music.
Weddings
Celebrating love through music
Charlotte is dedicated to providing music as beautiful and unique as your special day. Charlotte communicates with couples to arrange lists of songs that will create the best ambiance for their wedding; she will also learn new music at an additional charge. Ensembles (string duos, trios, quartets, etc.) are also available by request. Charlotte works often with award-winning composer Paul Eddison Lewis to give couples the opportunity to commission a brand new piece of music to make their wedding even more memorable.

Special Events
Creating ambiance for every occasion
Solo violin music will add a new level of sophistication to your corporate event, romance to your anniversary, and fun to your family get-together. Song lists are customized to each event, and ensembles (string duos, trios, quartets, etc.) and new music are available by request at an additional charge. Charlotte and Paul Eddison Lewis of Eddison Studios extend the opportunity for clients to commission original compositions to make the occasion even more memorable.


The Living Statue
Interacting with the audience
Create a unique experience for your next event with The Living Statue: Approach the statue for a moment of violin music, then watch as she returns to "stone." This interactive performance creates a fun photo opportunity, and adds artistic flair to fairs, festivals, and fundraisers. Statue themes can be customized for events upon request.
Recordings
Bringing new music to life
Charlotte's love of contemporary music has led to many opportunities for recording new works and working directly with living composers. Charlotte is available for live and recorded performances of original works and offers recording packages through Eddison Studios.


Lessons
Experience the violin
Charlotte's private violin studio is accepting students that are both young and young at heart. If you are interested in learning the violin, Charlotte would love to introduce (or re-introduce) you to the rewarding experience of playing a string instrument.
